° about me
As a child, I believed that if I could think of five things at once, reality would tear open and something magical would appear. I never reached five, so I'm still searching for the ruptures.
I am a sculptor, a director, and I also acted. I enjoy using different forms of expression, but at its core, most of my work revolves around the same theme: a search for ruptures that break my mould and move me. |
° sculpting
I am currently working on a series of sculptures called Lichtzoekers. They are life-size representations of people installed on facades and rooftops. Each figure appears to be climbing upward in search of light and sight, often caught in difficult or uncomfortable positions.
This project expresses a fear of falling into the grey. At the same time, it reflects a longing for wonder. Dreaming of what lies beyond the blind wall or high rooftop. It's the dream of a wondrous horizon, knowing that place might not truly exist. The first sculptures will be installed in the coming weeks, all in Brussels. I'll keep you updated on Instagram and Facebook. More information about the Lichtzoekers can be found at lichtzoekers.info

° directing
Over the years, I have been lucky to direct all sorts of genres and styles. Sometimes I also wrote and/or produced the projects, and sometimes I had the privilege of bringing someone else’s brainchild to life.
I’m proud to say my work has won some international awards and has been selected for some prestigious festivals. Rose d'Or, IDFA, Montréal World Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, LA Shorts International Film Festival, Ensors and Kastaars are among those I like bragging about the most.

Older work includes the MTV series Hollywould.be (2006), some commercials and videoclips, and previous short films like 'Victor' (2003) which was distributed by Cego Publishers.
